11 Plus Wirral provide expert tuition and thorough preparation for your child in the following entrance exams:

The 11 plus exam for West Kirby Grammar School, Calday Grange Grammar School, Wirral Grammar School for boys and Wirral Grammar School for girls.

Upton Hall FCJ, St. Anselm’s College.

The Queens School Chester, for girls and boys.

We provide both small group tuition,  from as little as two children, to bespoke one to one tuition with one of our experienced  tutors. Tuition takes place Monday to Saturday each week, with some tutors offering Sunday lessons.

Organised Tools

Each child is provided with a file for storage of 11 Plus work and an 11 Plus Wirral tote bag to keep everything together such as library books, 11 Plus workbooks, exam papers and stationery.

Both of my boys went to Wendy at 11 Plus Wirral to study for their 11 Plus exams. Wendy was friendly and approachable. Both boys enjoyed the sessions and found the work challenging, in a good way. The homework set was just enough and not too intrusive and enabled us to engage at home with what they were doing in class. They learned the content needed for all parts of the 11 plus exam and some hacks for answering questions that were a bit trickier. We have been absolutely delighted with 11 Plus Wirral throughout the whole year that we have been with them. My son and I both instantly felt we had found an absolute gem in Gill, his tutor. She took the trouble to understand him and how he worked and what motivated him, and struck up a rapport with him very quickly. He came home after just a few sessions saying he much preferred it to learning in school! Gill was constantly vigilant in pinpointing the areas he most needed to concentrate on, but more importantly she took plenty of time to talk with us about his progress and attitude, and what we could do to support him between sessions.

When the council changed exam boards we were impressed at how quickly their teaching adapted to the shifting goalposts, but then when lockdown hit we were further amazed at how the whole team moved almost overnight to change the delivery of your service to online. We thought they all did a fantastic job in very difficult circumstances. My son felt relaxed going in on the day of the exam, knowing he was well prepared, which was exactly what we had been hoping for.

When it came to the last session with Gill we were genuinely sad to say goodbye, but hopefully she’ll be available to take on our daughter when the time comes. We cannot recommend her and the team too highly.
