Tuition Classes - Small Group & One to One Tuition.

By booking tuition sessions, you are agreeing to adhere to these terms and conditions.

Group tuition

All group tutoring sessions are 1 hour and 15 minutes long and are held at Hoylake Community Centre. This consistent structure provides students with ample time to engage in collaborative learning while benefiting from a supportive group environment.

Group tutoring sessions are charged on a termly basis, calculated at £25 per session.

Payment for tutoring is made via bank transfer and must be paid in advance before the tutoring sessions begin. Typically, tuition fees are paid in full for the entire term upfront. However, arrangements can be made for monthly payments if needed, providing flexibility for parents while ensuring sessions are secured in advance.

One to one tuition

Most one-to-one tutoring sessions typically last 1 hour, though the duration can be adjusted to shorter or longer sessions based on an agreement between the tutor and the parents. These sessions are generally held at the tutor’s home, but in certain situations, they may take place at the child’s home, depending on what works best for both parties.

The fees for one-to-one tuition range between £30 to £35 and are determined by the individual tutor. This allows tutors to set rates that reflect their expertise, experience, and the specific needs of the student.

Payment for one-to-one tuition is made in advance and can be completed via bank transfer or cash, depending on the parent’s preference. This ensures that sessions are confirmed and arranged efficiently.

All tuition

Additional events such as booster sessions during the school holidays, and mock exams are paid in full at the time of booking.

The cost of a session includes all learning materials, homework, feedback and preparation/marking time in advance of the session to ensure each child receives a tailored learning experience.

Cancellation of tutoring sessions; groups and 1 to 1 must be made with at least 24 hours’ notice. If the cancellation is not made in advance of this, then you will be charged at the full rate.

If possible, any missed sessions will be rescheduled to replace a missed session due to genuine unavoidable emergency or illness.

Sessions cancelled by the tutor will be attempted to be rescheduled. If this is not possible, then you will be refunded in full.

Cancellation of the tutoring contract requires a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice from either party during which time any sessions booked will run as booked and be charged for as normal. Any further lessons will be refunded in full.

Emergencies

We will keep a record of your emergency phone number on our records until the mock exam season is complete. This number we will use to contact you in the event of an emergency relating to the child during a mock exam. It is your responsibility to ensure that the number you provide is correct and is for the relevant parent/carer who is dropping off/collecting on the day of the exam. Please ensure you update this information nearer the exam date should it change from that originally supplied.

Mock Exam papers

We do not provide physical copies of our mock exam papers. They are available to view online for a period of two weeks after the exam has been taken, so that you can work through the papers with your child and correct any errors.

Copies of previous mock exam papers are available to purchase online at 11pluscomplete.co.uk.

Health and Safety

To ensure the safety and well-being of children, the parent/guardian must be aware of the designated drop off and collection point at the venue. Please ensure that the parent/guardian or responsible adult designated for drop-off and collection is known and entrusted with this responsibility. Children should be familiar with and aware of the adult who will be picking them up.

It’s crucial to ensure accurate contact information is provided for emergencies and to disclose any relevant medical conditions to assess if accommodations can be made. However, accommodating children who need extra time is not possible due to separate invigilation needs. While we will take reasonable precautions to reduce exposure to allergens when notified, we cannot guarantee a completely allergenfree environment. If you have specific concerns or need further clarification about our policies, please feel free to contact us directly.

Limited liability

We make every effort to ensure that all mock exams take place as scheduled. However, we reserve the right to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances, factors beyond our control, or any other valid reason. In the event of a cancellation, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the mock exam. A full refund will be issued to you promptly if we cancel a mock exam.
